Animal Abuse and Abusers, Weak—Broken People—Changing and Stopping

animal9-6

People who abuse animals come in three packages: mentally ill, almost mentally ill and pranksters. It’s simply not normal to cause harm to something that cannot help themselves. Torturing cats, dogs, mice etc. is simply something a human being does not do. In the same vein as a human doesn’t drink motor oil because it’s not natural to humankind.

If someone is teetering at the gates of some mental illnesses, perhaps at a younger age or a person has engrained illness, they may do ill acts such as animal abuse. And then there’s the third package: the pranksters. These are usually younger people who want to do something shocking and “tough” or off the charts “wild” in front of their friends or perhaps even video them—thinking it’s cool. SHOCK VALUE! Similar to some movies geared toward young people that were popular years ago where actors did outrageous and gross acts. These “pranksters” don’t abuse for long but some of them get off on “messing” with animals who are innocent. Let us not forget some people like the look of fear, hurt and conquest in women’s eyes as well; rapists. Similar. The weak preying on the weaker. In a different sense, but a similarity there.

I just watched a video of kittens being abused by some fisherman. It reminded me of punks. Wimps, who won’t fight in a ring.  People who won’t challenge someone who might fight back if messed with. Fearful folks deep inside who stand seemingly tall in their abuse and who hang out with like-minded people; all of whom are kind of lost in the reality of life.

People who abuse animals, whatever kind of animals, can change. If you’re one of them believe that to mess with the innocent does nothing helpful for your insides. Simply does not. It will not fill a hole inside. Try something that you’ve never tried before because you simply thought that you’d have no possibility of being able to do it. Accomplish it, even if it’s something small at first and you’ll start feeling something that DOES make your insides feel good. See that you really do have potential and quality inside you. You really do! This is not a pep talk it is a fact. No matter what you may have thought about yourself or what people who improperly raised you told you, you can accomplish things and be worth something and be somebody. Really.

However, while people are abusing animals, those of us who can, should kick ass and take names and I do mean physically if we can and must, or call the authorities, but stop it and not accept one iota of it. There was a story of someone killing a pet bird that belonged to the infamous Mike Tyson when he was a youngster. Tyson beat his ass and went on to beat many more asses. Tyson had many faults throughout his life most of which he’s disclosed and worked at changing but he always knew that animal abuse was wrong.

Abusers, believe in yourself and move away from that kind of behavior no matter how bad you are, or no matter how bad you’ve been. You can matter and be someone who is worth very much. Non abusers: do whatever you can to stop it every time you see it!
